I just consumed your entire site. I’m jealous. Your work is as inspiring as your philosophy. I was stationed in Hawai’i for 3 years and made a few trips to the Big Island. I would love nothing more than to move there and set up shop when I retire from the military.
So, if your son doesn’t take to woodworking, I’m making a standing offer right now that you can adopt me in 8 years (one catch, I come with a wife, two girls, and probably a couple of dogs).

Thanks so much for your comments Harold. I usually have some pretty sour woodworker folks at the shows I do, but everyone here has been very kind and honest. My wife is a godsend. We are young (32), (25), with no kids yet, so it’s easier for us to pursue our passions together. She is a make-up artist here in L.A., but her mental support is what really turned the corner for me as an artist. I am re-tooling my website as we speak to make it easier for people to feel what I am about. I do it all on my own, so I figure out as I go what does and does not work. I am supremely blessed with my photo’s!! When I decided to do this as a living, I saw how important it was to have the best photo’s to compete with the high-end shops here. I went to craigslist to get a headshot photographer because they always give low prices to the actors here, and I found a guy who built my first website and still takes all my pictures. He is now my best friend, and I give him my older pieces in exchange for his expertise in lighting. We shoot everything in my living room. I have been very fortunate to have many things work out for me that has allowed me to get where I am. I will put you on my friends list and keep you posted on my new stuff I have coming. Take care.

Thanks for the response to the AP1300 question. you are right on the mark. I never thought of loosening the screws out of the locked position. Duh. I guess you are never to old to be trumped. Let’s keep this quiet, OK? (just kidding) Thanks again and I’m looking forward to your future posts. bbqKing
