Thanks for the welcome Todd. The nickname started when the grand kids came along. My son thought it was a bit of a joke to call me Grumpy (instead of Gramps or Pop etc) & it stuck.

Thanks for the welcome Grumpy :)

I can’t get enough of this site. I’ve spent most of the evening just looking at projects. I’m pretty awestruck at the artistry.

Thanks for the welcome. I’m a member of many online communities and this is the first time I’ve had so many different people actually welcome a new member. I’ve only recently discovered the site and I’ve already found it very useful for a novice woodworker. This site seems like a fantastic community and I can’t wait to join in with questions, projects and someday insight.

Thanks,

Pat

Dear Grumpy,

I noticed your comments on wanting a Performax spindle sander. You might want to check out my comments/experience BEFORE you buy one of them.

Wow . . .thanks for the welcome. I feel somewhat guilty joining since I’m not really a woodworker . . .yet! It’s a dream of mine and I was enjoying what I saw and read on LumberJocks. Looking for inspiration and words of advice on how to get started.
