With Marks “Oscorner”’s passing, it reminds me that we all need to make an effort to reach out to our extended family durning the holidays. I would like to challenge the Lumberjock community to reach out to out our other members who have seemed to slipped away. Perhaps they are going through a rough period and could really use the contact from friends. If you have a buddy who has been absent for a while, take a moment and send an email or call. I know we are all pretty busy, but are we really too busy to reach out?
I wish everyone a Happy New Year filled with the blessings of health and success.

Greg,
What a timely and thoughtful reminder on your part.
We are reminded how precious life is. A little effort goes a long ways in reaching out to others.
Warm Regards, and Happy New Year

Greg. Thanks for the reminder.
I’d like to see a buddy system, where 2 or three LJ’s are in frequent contact with one another so if something were to happen then your buddy could keep every one here apprised of the situation.

great idea.
I agree, Karson… this has really hit hard for me (maybe because this is 10th anniversary of my hubby’s passing).. anyway… the thought of someone “disappearing” without any word of what has happened… it’s really tough

Thanks for Your thoughfullness. We are always busy and things come up to take our time, but this is a great idea. My mother is in a nursing home with a stroke from 3 weeks ago. I have put time into Her problems, and get into myself a bit. I can tell you that taking time for someone else along with you own problems is also good for uplifting ourselves. Its the perfect time to take time to care

I really like Karson’s idea…I just returned from a week on the road…to catch up on my LJ’s and I am shocked…saddened…I want to do more for OS…and his family…
