I’m just starting to set up my shop in our garage. My shop tools are still lacking but I am acquiring more on a regular basis. Due to the cost of new tools I have been searching local sales and auctions and also online and have come up with some good buys.
The table saw I have had for over 20 yrs recently fried, probably from many moves and lack of use, so that is my next purchase on the list. As of now I have two lathes a full size machinest built, that is very soild and works very well and a 1950’s Craftsman (Atlas) midi lathe that I use for pens and smaller prodjects. I also have a 10” miter saw, 4” old craftsman jointer, 12” planer and a bench top drillpress. I have many hand tools both powered and not.
The majority of my tools have been aquired second hand. I keep my eye on Craigs list and attened many local auctions searching for the next addition to the shop.
As I add and upgrade I will post more. Pictures will be coming soon, it’s been a little chilly out there the last few days.

I added some new pictures today. It is still an unorginized mess but it’s still my little get away spot.

That chainsaw seems pretty good but I’m not sure if it would work for cutting down redwoods.

Nice shop. What kind of jointer is that? It looks pretty heavy duty for such a small one.

The Jointer is an old Craftsman made by Atlas circa 1950.
It was a $50 craigs list purchase that I am very happy with.
Its a bit small but it has done everything I have asked of it.

This is a nice shop. Thanks for the pictures. It is always nice to share the personal space of other woodworkers.
