Location: Quebec, 40 km north of Ottawa
Website: http://www.geocities.com/h_artfurniture/
I started woodworking as a hobby in the 1980's in southern Ontario. I went full time in the late 90's because I had so many orders. I rented a big shop and showroom in 2000 and hired a couple of employee's. That was hard, to find people good enough to be up to my standards. My marriage split up in 2002 and I had to shut the shop.
I started my life over and met a fantastic lady and moved close to Wakefield, Quebec (40 km north of Ottawa, Ontario) in 2004. I worked for kitchen and commercial cabinet shops until 2007. I finally got a shop built and enough tools to work full time again.
I love woodworking at home and live in a paradise. My commute to work is 30 seconds, inlcuding putting on my shoes.
Now I am exploring more artistic furniture and putting some work in gallaries. I am also doing custom work- indoor and outdoor furniture and custom cabinets.
