Bedroom to Guest Bath Conversion The Journey Begins

Well, the kids are grown and out of the house. We decided to remodel the house. This leg of the journey covers our efforts to convert our fourth bedroom to a new guest bathroom and a new master walk in closet. Tonight’s post covers the bathroom work. It started by ripping out the old closet area, recessing it into the 3rd bedroom and building two new walls. One to divide the room in half and one to provide privacy for the water closet.

Here are the two new walls with rough plumbing and drywall.

Here is the wall mounter granite top counter/sink I built on the dividing wall.

and here is the the water closet behind its privacy wall.

The next two photos are of the jacuzzi steam shower tub that I assembled and slid into the recess.

The final set of this post is looking back at the door, showing the recessed etagere, robe rack and towel bar.

Nice job. Are you sure that is going to be a ‘guest’ bathroom. It looks like it would be a great ‘master’ bath. I especially like that Jacuzzi.

Thanks for the kind words Ampeater. Yes it is the guest bath. However, I have to be honest.. I ve used the jacuzzi a few times after a long day of golf.
