Hello all,
Jenn is off at a scrapbooking crop and I was hoping to finish off Paul’s table but I have come across a question. We want to put green felt down on the play surface and I have not idea how to precisely lay it down. I bought spray adhesive to glue it down with but beyond that I am not really sure how to put it down so it looks good and doesn’t roll up at the edges. If any one has advice on measuring, gluing felt down I’d sure appreciate the assist.

Perhaps use a wall-paper scraper and/or roller?
I am interested too since one of the future projects requires gluing felt to the inside of a drawer with little niches to hold stuff.

Thanks Rich your note jogged my memory about something GaryK blogged a while ago http://lumberjocks.com/jocks/GaryK/blog/4858. The top of the Thomas table is a bit large for any cardboard I have around but I like the idea…hmmm maybe some 1/4 inch hardboard…that might do the trick.

Very good idea, that won’t really work for me since I need to do niches and stuff, kind of a grid work, ahh well, will keep brain-storming, perhaps just a fabric bottom and plain wood for the grid, we shall see.
