I have always done rough carpentry on the side, (day Job-office), building, remoldiing projects around the house. Most abitious project was buying an old house for my daughter, moving it 30 miles and completly remodeling it. Finished it last year, started looking for new challenge. Always wanted to build furniture and other projects for family and friends. Turned 54 this year and decided it was time to get going on a hobby that I could take into retirement. Found this forum and it looks like it will be a great help to get started.

Thanks folks, I’m in Central Texas just south of Waco in a little town called Rosebud. Just reading through how to post pics and utilize the site. Also just started trying out Sketch-up. Looks pretty daunting, but sounds like there is plenty of help here!

The drink! Used to work in Waco, TX 1 block from the Pharmacy where Dr.Pepper was invented-my mother said I drank so many I was going to turn into one-nickname stuck.
