I am just starting out and learning the woodworking ropes through books, magazines, podcasts, and experimenting. I am very green but hope to build my skills this way. I cannot afford design school for furniture design so I am teaching myself. I currently work in professional theatre where I do a lot of upholstery and drape making. These are pieces are usually stripped and recovered so I have a bit of restoring and refinishing skill. I am here to soak up as much info as I can and learn through others.

Thanks, for adding me to your list, I am what I consider an advanced intermediate wood worker and joined this site for the same reason you did. After a few days of looking around, it looks like we came to the right place.

Welcome,

Jeff – Grapevine, Texas
