With the Summer Woodworking Challenge upon us it is time to get out in the shop and start making sawdust!

Need a tool for those tricky and challenging joints?

Want to try a tool out before making a purchase?

Well now is your chance with a new and exclusive LumberJocks.com feature. How Martin did this is still a mystery! Look for the new CTS button on your LumerJocks browser and with a click of a button you can visit the shop of a LumberJock buddy and borrow a tool. Remember this is an honor system so you need to return the tool in the same or better condition. This is a two-way street, so open up your shop for some CyberToolSharing and get going on that summer challenge project! Creativity has never been a problem for LumberJocks and now tool access is also no problem!

Follow me as I explore Mot’s Shop and get my hands on that Festool Domino!

This is a joint Canadian – US project from MAD Productions (Mot and David)

I have a need for an old world work bench front vice but rather than a loan I would like to purchase.
In the back of my mind I was considering the possibility of LJ Trade, Barter,or Sell added to the tool share. This of corse would require some refinement.
The cost of shipping could be prohibitive on a loan basses I would think.
Doug.

I have some scrap wood, returns not necessary, unless it’s to return an exotic to replace the pine that was taken.

This does save shipping.

I bought an old chain saw from a friend, & do you know what he told me?
”Take care of this saw the same as you’d take care of your Wife, don’t loan it out to anyone, & it will last a long time.”

I feel the same about the rest of my tools.

Just checking to make sure everyone knows this is a joke, right? Maybe we should change the name from MaD Productions to Knucklehead Productions. :)

“As good or better”? Sounds like a knife swap to me.

Oh man … don’t be joking about this! A chance to try out multiple models of a planer or jointer, lathe, router, plane or bandsaw before plunking down for one of them would be something of a dream come true!

SST – we are working on expanding the CTS Portal size to accommodate larger tools such as a ShopSmith and even one of those fancy lathes . . . Martin has to increase the bandwidth for the project to move forward. ;-0

Lip – I think your jointer is safe until the portal is expanded. I did see a couple of smaller tools in your shop when I was exploring around a couple of nights ago . . . LOL

BillinDetroit – We are looking to share any tool or knife! :-)
