I have always been interested in woodworking and have played with it for many years, mostly what I would classify as rough projects. Those being things such as play forts, fences, some trim work, and such in which joinery isn't that critical. Last year I got a Kreg pocket hole kit and built a free standing cabinet for my Mom which I guess was my first real piece of furniture.
This year I built a bathroom vanity and am now engaged in building an oak entertainment center in the mission style of my design. I am writing a blog on this sight discussing it's construction. I am self taught and this entertainment center has numerous first in, a true learning experience!
