Think a cool site enhancement would be to have personal email addresses from lumberjocks with automatic forwarding to personal email.
Perhaps even have a limited number of emails stored in the lumberjocks server ?
Anyone think this is good idea too ?
Hey Martin and Debbie … would this bring in more site activity ?
How much programming time would it take?
Any added expense?

Would definitely support cross-promotion if we had such and address to use in our woodworking related correspondence.

I think it’s a good idea and would benefit LumberJocks web site by the added exposure. I suspect that it would be a costly upgrade to the server fees, but I don’t know for sure. It would take an awful lot of email address capacity.
For me personally I can live without it – but having said that I would certainly use it to help promote the Forum it it was available. Let’s see what Martin says about the costs involved and potential problems that it would create.
Good idea though Dan.

perhaps it could be a perk for donations or membership fees.
I personally do not have website, so I’ve been sending people to look at my work, with a link to my projects.

Hey Dan.. I love this idea.. I’ve seen one service few months ago that allowed to run this kind of service but am not able to find them now. I will keep researching ;)

I don’t have a web site either. Come to think of it, my projects page here may be as close as i ever get around to making one. Good idea Dan.

Another site I frequent does an email ‘alias’ for monthly donors. It is a good way to promote the site.
