Cool Ideas for Christmas gifts that can be made in a WEEKEND or so !!! I'll start the list ....

Blog entry by DAN posted 345 days ago 1974 reads 11 times favorited 68 comments Add to Favorites

Thought this would be a fun list.

Stuff you could make for your wife, sister, brother, brother-in-law, boss, friend or family member.

Not to complex, but fun, perhaps adding a link to etc.

Repeats, adding new links etc are ok etc.

For all real woodworkers ! It’s time to start cranking out some gifts ….

#1 blanket chest ....link ...

#2 corncob holders … link ...

  1. 3 picture frame
  1. 4 paddy wacks

#7 a receipe box nicely made and filled with coupons for things she’d like to have, For instance one night out with the girls. Or her favorite meal in bed. Maybe some new tools of her own. When she uses the coupons the box is hers to use for recipies

little tool totes. we use them for bill boxes or catch-alls.
this sketchup model is for one that could accomodate CD’s.
Stock is 3/8 wenge for the ends and 3/8 yellowheart for the sides and 9/16 for the handles.
1/4 red birch plywood bottom.
1/4 oak dowels for the handle and 1/8 walnut for the sides
my plan is to make 3 of them. one for my son Nathyan and two for my daughters Nichole and Allyson

  1. 29 We’ve found these One Step Stools to be an all time favorite for our friends and family.
    http://lumberjocks.com/projects/1630

The older pine one (on the left) is made with simple dado joints. We’d made these 12 at a time and stained or painted them and used all types of stencils to personalize them.

The new one’s, oak, cherry and walnut, are built with sliding dovetails.

The ladies and smaller kids use them everyday.
