Explaining an absence

Blog entry by Dan Lyke posted 468 days ago 146 reads 0 times favorited 6 comments Add to Favorites

I had hopes of perhaps pulling out a Thorsen table entry. Certainly I didn’t want to be a drive-by poster here at Lumberjocks. But a couple of things have come up, I’m now working several evenings and 6 days a week, and my current “for me” project is finishing up a Radio Controlled glider that I’ve had in the queue for years and years.

I suppose balsa wood qualifies as “woodworking”, but a few ribs snuck in here or there hardly makes for good pictures, and even then it’ll be at least another month before I manage to put the skin on it.

So, rest assured, I’m reading the RSS feeds, keeping up, and I’ll try to post occasionally, I’m just not, alas, going to be able to post a lot of stuff for the next year or so.

No apologies needed Dan. Just post what you can when you can.

Congratulations on all your work you have going on. I hope it continues for you.

sounds like you are VERY busy!
I hope things are going well and we’ll probably all be here when you have something to post :)

Everyone has priorities, no problem here. It would be nice to see some images of your glider progress in a blog.
I built some models when I was a kid. I don’t even have one picture of them.

Pitty, though, I like your writing style and really appreciate your woodworking projects.

Do come back when you can, my friend.

Thanks for the encouragement. I’ll do my best, but I… I get kinda weirded out when people whose blogs I follow suddenly go absent, and I wanted to make sure that when that happens with me I give a reason.
