When my nephew was asked if he wanted to sit on the horse, he promptly sat down on the deck below the horse. He was reluctant to be all the way up high on it. Eventually, my sweety coaxed him up on the back. It’ll be too big for him for a few years, though.
So we had a good drive up the coast, a good drive back down, some cool adventures along the way, got home, and then life got interesting.
I don’t know how much woodworking time I’ll have over the next year, I just had a part-time gig land in my lap that would be really nice for our financial situation if I can pull it off, but it’ll cut into my hobby time. So I’m struggling with trying to weigh the trade-offs of a good chunk of savings versus my sanity.
And the world goes on.

Debbie, yep, I’m not much of a kid person, or at least am a kid person in moderation, and I thought it was pretty darned cute. It’s amazing how much he understand.
Dennis, thanks for that reminder, the perspective helps a lot. A year of long hours and 6+ days a week will be tough, but it’s not like others haven’t managed to pull through that before. Heck, I’ve managed to pull through that before.
