As I am new to the site, I wanted to share the tools I am working with. My shop is in our two car garage, which also has a small side bay. At the moment, the cars are relegated to sitting outdoors. Most times, I can still get one car inside. I’m not really posting any pictures of the garage, but wanted to share the major pieces of equipment. These include an old Hammond Glider Trim-o-saw, a Powermatic model 54A 6” jointer, a Powermatic model 45 lathe, a DeWalt 13” planer, a Delta dust collector, an old Craftsman drill press, an old Craftsman 12” bandsaw, a Delta 12” disc sander, and a Bosch 4000 table saw. I also have a Triton 2 1/4 HP router and some PorterCable sanders, along with the usual assortment of clamps and hand tools. The Hammond saw, lathe, planer, drill press, and disc sander were all Craig’s list purchases. The Bosch saw is about to be listed on Craig’s List as I will be picking up a new 10” Jet cabinet saw this weekend. The jointer was purchase from a friend who was upgrading to an 8” Powermatic – good deal for both of us.
I don’t have a workbench and intend to make one that replaces the table board of the cabinet saw, much like what Powermatic has done on their model 2000 cabinet saw.
As of the end of November, the Bosch saw has been sold and the Jet cabinet saw is in use. I have replaced the photo of the band saw and clamps with the cabinet saw – much more interesting.
