I've been pretty busy of late. I have been appointed to a technical schools curriculum advisory committee and I take this responsibility very seriously. The USA needs technically trained people like yourselves out there. Look at all the things you can do with tools and wood. Many youngsters never have anyone to train them. I am more aligned with teaching Computer Assited Drafting and Designing more than I am with wood working tools and wood. I lost a lot of my vision a couple of years ago and working with power equipment now is a little hairy if you know what I mean. If I make a mistake on the computer it is no big thing. I know you get my drift. We must take an interest in how our kids learn in school. I strongly suggest that all of you get active in your schools. You have an awful lot to offer even if you don't think so. Lets not take what we do know to the grave without first passing it on to others. That is how life is. I am going to try and post some of my latest projects for science classes. Take care everyone.

Hi there, Just joined your ranks and I am going to need help. I have basic skills with woodworking but I’m truly looking for plans for a wooden pendulum clock that I would like to build in my retirement days. Something like this will keep on ticking after I’m not. I’ve been searching the internet for awhile and have found some but they use metric sizes which might not be too easy to find here in the USA. I can convert them okay but cannot find those drill sizes and certain other things. Thanks to anyone out there that can lead me to a place for such items. Bye for now.

Besides Klockit the only other clocks I remember are Norm’s New Yankee and I think there was one in American Woodworker (don’t hold me to that one.) As for the drill bits, try Hartville Tools, they may have them.

Welcome aboard.

Woodline Router Bits has a kit for making wooden gear clocks. It’s a pin router (supplied, templates and wood.)

Talk to Wayne. He goes to the woodworking shops and is the guru, there. We’ve got an LJ who is writing a book about making wooden clocks.

Welcome to LumberJocks. Glad to have you aboard.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
