« Part 1: Slide Guitar Music Solo Part 2 of Cain Guitar series no next part

Hi!
I have previously submitted a soundtrack of the Cain Guitar.

The other day My Son brought over a DVD of a Graduation party.

The father of the Graduate arranged to have music by a band made up of himself, playing the drums, & some other friends.

They got together , & practiced a few times. It turned out really nice.

My Granddaughter did the camera work on this, I think she did a fantastic job.

I hope you all enjoy this.

Very nice slide work! Is that the Corricidren (sp) bottle? Is the action set high for slide? (Oh by the way…, I love the guitar!!!)

Sounds and looks like a collaboration of Cains that culminated in a great guitar, great song and great video. Congratulations. Oh, and Dick, seeing that video of your son is like see you a few years back, he sure looks like your Avatar photo. Thanks for sharing this wonderful work.

There’s quite a bit of talent running through that Cain family now isn’t there?

I recognize that guitar! That is a great looking guitar. And the guitarist and band are great too! I am preparing to make a guitar for my 13 yr old daughter. She has been playing an acoustic for the last 3 yrs and has the opportunity to play in the school jazz band next year, but needs an electric. She likes the shape of the telecaster, but prefers the tone and body beveling of the strat better. Do any of you have an idea where i can get templates for routing the cavities for the electronics, ie pickups, neck, bridge, etc? The outline of the body itself is not a problem. I even have a blank of local mesquite ready to glue up. Any help with a pattern for routing will be appreciated.

Hi Tom, & Thanks.
I built this form a plan in a Popular Mechanics Magazine, maybe you can find a back issue on the internet.

I routed, & installed the wiring in the backside,. we didn’t want to cover the wood. I made my template from the plan. I may be able to scan a page with the dimensions if you wish.
