I’m sorry, I haven’t been very active lately, I’ve been familiarizing myself with my new computer. It takes time to transfer the oodles of my picture files, plus learning a new system.

We were up at our cabin a few days last week, closing it down for the season, & on the way home this Cub ran across in front of us. The road is real close to the lake, & by the looks of his fur, he had just taken a bath. I stopped, & took these pictures from inside the car.

It’s not to often a person gets a chance to get pictures like this.

This ones by Barb through the windshield.

Wow, that third picture is something. If I took that picture I might be painting it next. The background would be fun since it is all blurred. The hardest thing to paint would be the bark on the trees in the forground.

It must of been so great to see this, I would of been in my glory. I wonder how far mommy bear was.

From thelook on his face, I think he deserves a spanking. He’ll probably get on when Moma catches up to him. Fun pics, Dick

Thanks Diane,
if you wish, maybe I can send you a high resolution image.

Thanks Tom,
we’re hoping he isn’t an orphan. They recently had Bear hunting.

Any way you can monitor him for the next couple of weeks?
He may need to have a shelter for winter and he will not do well without the sow.
Can you get your wildlfe officer involved if his mother is gone?

Great pictures….I’m with Bob. Let your locals know there may be an orphan running around. Not only for his/her sake but for local residents as well. Orphans are more likely to become trash pickers.

fantastic photos!!

Not everyone gets the opportunity to see such beauty and then many would miss it even if they were there – and then to get it “on film”—- AND so clear.. Impressive.

Nicely done.

Those are some great pictures! I was lucky enough to see a Bobcat, and a brown bear and a black bear with cubs in California last year while driving through Sequoia National Park.

Great pictures! The last time I was that close to one he was not so small and adorable nor did I have the presence of mind to hang around and take pictures. Thank you for sharing and bringing back some memories.
