« Part 3: Carving a Bear on a Tamarack Post. Part 4 of Events at our cabin! series Part 5: Are You Waiting for Summer ? »

Hi, I’m trying something new today. I’m trying to run a slideshow.
It shows the construction of one of my decks at our cabin. I don’t care to cut trees down, so in order to fit a deck on this location , I discovered that using hexagonal sections fit the best.

Hi Dick;
....now I’m really impressed by what you’ve done!!!

First of all, very nice deck there and then you go and put it all on video for us to enjoy. What with your great woodworking skills and then the techno-bloging, I’m wondering what surprises you have in store for us yet?

That lake is beautiful, do you canoe?
Very good show, Dick.
GODSPEED,
Frank

Yes we do canoe, our lake is about a mile long, & has an erratic shape to it. We used to canoe around the perimeter evey morning. It would take about an 1 1/2 hours.

A beautiful Fall Morning

Well the music was a little “skippy” , but other than that, I’ts probably one of the nicest decks I’ve seen. I’m not a conventional kinda guy, so i really like the hexegon. it also allows you to add to it whenever you want to

Hey, Dick. I missed this after you fixed it. Great post. I’ll have to do the same where appropriate.

You’re a very fit youngster, Dick. And as I’ve commented previously – that summer cabin just has to be a bit of heaven.
