Os remembered...
If you don’t mind I’m going to raise Os’s passing to the top of the list as a short remembrance. He was a good man, a great LumberJock and is sorely missed.

Two months ago I purchased a Delta Tenoning jig for $129.99 in cash from a local Woodcraft store. A few weeks after purchasing the jig a friend of mine’s father mentioned he had one that he had never used and asked me if I would like it. With much...

Ok, I have the log and I have the sawyer but now I have a couple of questions. First, a quick background. Last year a friend of mine cut down a huge pear tree and I missed the opportunity to get it. So when the same friend said he was cutting d...

I have a log I’d like boarded and need a sawyer with a portable mill that will make house calls. Unless I’m losing my mind (which of late could be the case), I seem to recall an article in one of the wood magazines this year or last th...

Ok, for the last week or so I was thinking not many projects were getting posted and my favorite thing on here is looking at all the great stuff… and usually commenting on how wonderful it all is. Then along comes Martin’s birthdayR...

Chip welcome to LumberJocks. I’m a little south of you in Georgetown. But we are having a Mason-Dixon Woodworkers meeting this Thurs at 7:00 at Delmar on the MD / De line.
I’m giving a presentation on Vacuum Veneering. Give me a call my e-mail in on my signature line.

Hey, Chips, I normally make it a practice not to comment on a profile until after a member posts a project.
So welcome to LumberJocks. In my opinion this community represents the finest collection of serious woodworkers on the Net.
Your first project is a stunner. As my work tends to major on small boxes, I am particularly drawn to the beautiful box you offered as your first project. Well done – and again, welcome!

Very nice box. I’d love to see more if you’ve got them. How long have you been making boxes, and what do you like to make most?

I want to thank my good friend Karson for uploading this picture for me. Oh wait this is Karson making this post.
I’m telling the trooper if he sees a Yugo in my driveway tonight to not shoot.

Hello Chip, I use a water based latex for the lettering. Water based because it is quick to clean my little brushes. As Dick mentioned above there are thousands of characters and styles. Most represent complete words or thoughts. I was thinking about this the other day and then posted it incorrectly.
take care,
harold
