I didn’t want to repost the project, but someone mentioned that they’d like to see this little table in its intended setting, so here it is.
The image of St. Louis Cathedral visible in the first photo reflects one of my other hobbies: photography. I took this back in April and had a 24×36 enlargement made.

By the way, the chair in the foreground was rescued from my neighbor’s trash. The only thing wrong with it were numerous superficial nicks and scratches that were easily touched up.

Charlie, that’s what I wanted to see, thanks.
It looks really good with the chairs. Nice job.

I still think you should have made furniture to match the table. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

You might have something there, Russel. Now if I can just talk the boss into springing for the materials….

Great looking table and chairs. Sounds like you better keep checking the neighbor’s trash more often. Thanks for posting.

Tom, I’ve already got a reputation in the neighborhood for “foraging” on trash collection days. :-)

Great work Charlie! The finish on that table really makes it. It really looks fantastic. And hey, there’s no shame in foraging. We prefer to call ourselves recycling engineers, or in the latin base- dumpsterous diverian majorous…. lol.

I vote matching chairs also Charlie. Plus hopefully you’ll find the mate to the dumpster chair next hunt. Good luck hunting.

Don’t tell that to my boss, though. He’ll want to start taking rent out of my paycheck. :-)

Nice work Charlie! I particularly like the spalded maple card holder. I bet you made that too.

The table looks superb in the office. The finish is marvellous. Your photographic skill is seen in the photograph of the cathedral. Send more of your pictures.
