SawStop Contractor Model Purchase from Cradle to Shop #11: Final Entry with Pictures and story on testing the Sawstop

I mentioned in the previous posting that I tested the Sawstop technology accidentally. Here it is and it’s impressive. The blade is buried about 3/4 of an inch into the alumium brake. The brake stopped the blade instantly as the teeth either side of the brake are untouched. Changing the brake was a breeze. As I mentioned before I’m not mechanical. Still trying to figure out how to change out the new window sheild wipers I bought 3 days ago. I replaced the blade in about 10 minutes. After doing it once it is easily done in a couple of minutes. I have to say that the blade SawStop ships with the saw was good quality and I was sorry to see it meet such a timely dem...
