Assuming it is the sketch-up challenge. You create a blog entry, describe your entry, add the tag “challenge03” to the tags edit box.

To add pictures (images) to a blog entry, you need a hosting site such as http://flickr.com or photobucket. Information can be found at the following link on how to embed photos.

http://lumberjocks.com/help/writing/embedding-pictures

To add photos of your shop and projects, the photos are uploaded directly from your computer.

Hope this helps.

Yes the sketchup challenge. I was just reading about the photo sites, is that the route I have to follow or can I upload here directly?

Think you would need to go the photo hosting site route given that it is a blog entry. Flickr is free and easy to use.

Thanks to everyone for the welcome. It’s nice to be a part of this forum. I do have another question. I went to Photobucket to add my Sketchup Challenge pictures but it doesn’t like the file format of Sketchup. Do I have to convert it somehow?
Thanks for you assistance.

Welcome aboard CWC. It’s nice to have you in our community.

See WayneC’s forum topic he started in response to your question.

To specifically answer your Photobucket question, you need to position the view of you model just as you like it and then export a JPEG from Sketchup. That JPEG can then be uploaded to Photobucket. After posting to PB, review the embedding pictures link Wayne provided above. My entry on Wayne’s topic should point you in the right direction to post the actual drawing file.

Hi Woodchuck,

In the text menu for Sketchup go to:

File Export 2D Graphic

There is an options button at the bottom right corner of the dialogue box. I typically set the options to use the view size and the jpeg compression to be better quality. You can set photobucket to automatically resize your uploads to best fit 640×480 which will give you the best size for most blog postings.

Welcome aboard.
