I had to take a break from working on this project for over a week (life got in the way)… But, Sunday afternoon my son Cody came to help work on it…
He brought his assortment of pedals and we soon realized that space was quickly running short… We decided to scrap the multi level design to get better use of the space…
After cutting the supports, I used my forstner bits to lighten the weight of them…
A small light will mount under the top board illuminating the pedals and this sign that will face the crowd…
The sign was made using cut vinyl as a mask over red plexiglass…
After these photos I rounded the edges with a ¼” roundover bit, and started the glue-up.

He (Cody) has 6 pedals now, but we were trying to make it big enough for a couple more…
He currently uses a Wah, Analog Delay, Distortion, Tuner, A/B Switch, amp footswitch… but he wants to also add a Compressor, upgrade the Distortion to a Tube Distortion, maybe add a volume pedal, and a homemade talk box…
We’ve been planning this for awhile, constantly changing our plans, finally we decided to just build one knowing that it may only be the first version… Already, I’m pretty sure that we will build a second, making changes from what we learned on the first.

That looks really cool. Does he play out often? That thing looks tough to lug to gigs.
Do you have a universal power supply for all the pedals? I assume that the space underneath is to hide the cables. Are you using Velcro to hold the pedals down?
I’d love to see it when it’s finished and all wired up with the pedals.
I have scrapped my pedal board in favor of Rack gear with a Midi programmed pedal board, but I know a lot of guitarists who swear by their pedalboards.

Cody is only 18 and has joined a band and started playing in bars this past year…
I know it’s going to be heavy, but it won’t come close to the weight of his amp that he hauls around… The stats say 85 lbs, but I would have guessed a LOT more…
We’re going to mount a small power strip (surge suppressor) in that space underneath… And, yes we’ll try using Velcro to hold them in place. The floor of the pedal board is carpeted, so I think the ‘hook’ part of the Velcro will grab the carpet???
I will continue the project on Lumberjocks until it’s done…
