Custom Guitar Pedalboard #4: An Evening's Work Waisted...

« Part 3: Ordered Some Harware Part 4 of Custom Guitar Pedalboard series Part 5: Continue the build (after a short pause) »

I started the insert… I purposely sized it to be a ‘snug’ fit into base…
Cut the parts, cut rabbet’s for the joints… test fitted that ‘snug’ fit…

Test Fit

Glued and nailed it together, only then to realize that the good ‘snug’ fit in the base is going to be an unwanted ‘snug’ fit for the lid!!!

Lid too tight

After thinking about it, and showing my son what it looks like in three dimensions, we came up with some better ideas… I’ll be taking a step backwards and building this part over again (but better)…
