Bookmatch Mesquite

Hello freinds. I started a new project, that makes 3 I’m working on. I had some 1” slabs in the shed and everytime I look at them the same idea popped into my head, bookmatch opposites. I cut away the unusable wood, basicly just a wavy consistant pencil line that would trace clearly on the other piece. So I used a jig saw and put the two pieces together. At first the fit wasnt too good so I trimmed with jig saw til they fit together. I then added bar-clamps to tighten fit, there were still a few gaps but I just followed edge a few times tightening clamps after every pass til they fit tight all the way through.
