My Website (Revamped)

In traditional web design – ‘home’ means the ‘top page of the site’, not a menu of pages.

The rollover boxes are oversensitive and confusing, they open and close at the slightest provocation, and the constant clicking noise is annoying. The bouncing up and down of the buttons as the menus open and close is disorientating. They should be persistent, rather than closing entirely when a new page is selected, which makes navigation difficult.

The link text colors on the ‘links’ page suck against the black background, and the display would be much more attractive if the pictures and text aligned vertically.

The home page loads much faster, but is still a hair on the slow side. The text display on the ‘About’ page is much improved.

My advice remains the same as the last time, ditch the Flash and flash and stick with HTML.

Blake, You had a very, very busy weekend since we talked. This looks fantastic! Now this really looks worthy of the work you do. I really like the black and white background and the more simple design as I think it lets the product take center stage. Also, I am really digging your dovetail “W” logo! Again, your wife’s art work is great too. Hopefully she will also add her picture and bio as I think it helps tell the story of the artist and people can put a face with the name ultimately helping the sale. Awesome job man!

I think it is a very well made site, easy to use and the work you two do speaks for itself. I have no doubt many good things (read as money) will come from your site!

I agreee on the menu items disappearing when you go someplace. It would be better if they stayed the way that they were.

I think it’s very professional, and modern feeling. It gives you the sense that not only the website but the woodworking is meticulously done.

I think it is a great match for the art and wood art displayed there.
