Well, this is my little shop. It’s the size of single car garage located down in my basement. I started with a couple of sawhorses that I made which usually is a worktable. I made a workbench and then another table for the miter saw (a used gift). I added peg boards for the tools. I eventually acuired a table saw and a router/ router table. The most recent addition was a drill press, which I made a stand for. The shop also houses a weight bench I made for the boys. Everything in there was made from scrap lumber I acquired from my Dad and other resources.
My workbenches are rough. They do not look like you could eat off of them. If i want to bang on it, slosh paint on it or drill into it, I do without a thought or care. I haven’t done any super, fancy projects yet but I am having fun making little things and lots of sawdust. My dust collection consist of a broom and a shop-vac that i usually use as a blower to clean out the shop occasionally. Next my shop needs some lumber racks to store my wood instead of a big pile in the back. Once in awhile I put my wife and kids to work sanding or painting, they love it too.
-- Bill from Lithia Springs, GA I love the smell of sawdust in the morning.

Nice looking shop. It reminds me of my old garage shop.

Bill, You don’t have a large shop with a lot of expensive tools, but you have the basic tools to do some nice projects. I see you use those black plastic locks for the pegboard hooks. Don’t you just hate it when a pegboard hook comes off when you reach for a tool. And a wife that likes to do sanding. You had better hold on to her, a woman like that is hard to come by.

Hi Bill,
You have a nice shop there and some decent tools to work with. It is wonderful that you have trained help with which to work. You have done well.
Thanks for the shop tour. I really appreciated it.

I like the Dill Press Table. Is it stable?
