« Part 2: Chest of Drawers update. Part 3 of My Mom Shaker Style Chest of Drawers series Part 4: I got the back on. »

Here is a update of mom’s Shaker Style Dresser with pic, I got the top, sides and bottom runner glue up. I use pocket screws with the bottom runner so it will have added strength. Now I have a basic case to work from now. Now I have to build the rest of the runners and add a plywood back. But I aint sure what size plywood to use for the back.

great job. i would suggest a 1/4” ply for the back. it will make it rigid enough but it won’t add the weight that a 3/4” or half inch ply would. great job and keep up the great work.

Thanks teenagewoodworker, I am really happy with how this project is coming alone.

Charles,

This is coming along pretty good. I agree with the 1/4” suggestion. That is what is normally used.
