I'm a software developer by trade, a wood worker by heart, and a fisherman for life. I am 30 years old, married to a beautiful woman and we have two wonderful little boys.
Ever since my sophomore year in high school I have been hooked on woodworking thanks to a great teacher and a first place trophy I won in a district competition. Out of high school, I chose a career in computer programming with the idea that when I graduated college, I could afford woodworking as a hobby... I guess I didn't account for college loans!

Welcome to lumberjocks… funny the paths we take to afford our hobbies and true passions. The things we spend so much of our time doing, so that we can try to fit in the things we really want to do. At least we’re starting now, rather than as some other LJs observed and waited until retirement to embark into woodworking.
I like your signature line… reminds me of a similar one, but altogether different.
