Like many other hobbyists, my workshop is my 2-car garage. I am lucky enough to own 2 not-so-new-anymore cars so I don’t care about leaving them outside, and that leaves me with the entire garage for myself, except for some storage for the usual garage junk.
My tool collection is not that extensive but it is good enough for what I do. I am pretty happy with them and they are good enough to let me enjoy my time in the shop rather than being frustrated with them. Been there, done that..
Delta 10” contractor’s table saw with 30” Unifence
13” Ridgid planer
6” long-bed Jet jointer
Ridgid floor-standing drill-press
2 1/4hp Bosch router
Porter-Cable circular saw
Craftsman shop vac
The shop vac serves as dust collection and although it is not ideal, it does a decent enough job for now. I have hose connectors on the jointer, tablesaw, planer and router fence and it works ok, just have to empty it often.
The router table and workbench are work in progress. I still need to make the drawers for the router table and make some storage for underneath the bench. Same for the outfeed “table”, it’s currently just a piece of old plywood on sawhorses. I put it there to see how large I could go and still be practical in my garage. I will eventually make an assembly table a-la wood whisperer that will serve as outfeed as well. I also need more/better lighting, it’s pretty dark in there.
So many projects, so little shop time…

Hi Nick,
You shop sounds interesting. How about posting some pictures?

Hi Nick,
Thanks for the update. You have a nice shop space in which to work and I like your table saw set-up. You have a nice set of tools to play with as well.
Thanks for the shop tour. I really enjoyed visiting.
