Hello!
My name is Allison and I live in a little mountain town in northeastern Ca. I found woodworking and my subsequent love for it quite by accident, literally. I had broken my knee and could not go anywhere and my hubby brought home a scroll saw to try so I would have something to do. He showed me how to use it and I have been hooked ever since! That broken knee occurred on Jan. 11th 2005, so I am coming up on my 3rd year . I have had a million trials and a million more errors and have enjoyed learning from everyone of them. I have tried different forms of woodworking and found my biggest passion to be intarsia. I prefer to not use any paint or stain on my projects and love the challenge of finding the right color for the project in the natural wood itself. In Jan of 2007 I was given a computer and have been learning it with a LOT of help from nice people here in cyberspace, and have made a blog of my woodworking (along with more personal things as in pictures of my family.) You can find that at http://willowshimmerswoodworks.blogspot.com. It took me a long time to find a name for my woodworking that I liked when I heard Willowshimmer and that is what I use. I sure would love it if whoever may read this to please stop by and sign my guestbook and give me your opinion. I sure am excited about joining this community of woodworking enthusiasts and sure could use perhaps someone to show me around. Believe it or not I found this site just now also quite by accident, literally! Thank You
Allison A.K.A. Willowshimmer

I just popped over to your site. Really nice work. Did not know that intarsia existed until recently. I really like the rooster.

Well, Well, Well, I have just learned about bolding, and now the subsequent shouting! So to all my new hopefully friends here at LJ’s let’s have a great big laugh on me. I am not saying this sarcastically I mean it. Good God no-one has ever told me about all this before. I personally can’t quit laughing myself as my other blog has something like 94 posts and I am YELLING in everyone of them . Oh my word this is funny. So on this New Years Day please allow me to provide the laughs!!! Peace!!! I sure am glad I was told this. And I will promise to be a little quieter from now on. Smile!!! It’s free and on me! I know, I know, Here we go again, however I am going to do a little pride swallowing and ask any and every one, What does it mean when it say’s you can do something special with your signature? I see sayings underneath some members names. Is this what they mean? Yes one more LOL!!! Is this the place I am suppose to be asking my mostly stupid questions? LOL again. Hey at least I am not yelling anymore….....I think! Thanks everyone, Allison PEACE!!!

Hi Allison,
