I've been designing and building contemporary furniture and accessories full time for about 8 years. Prior to that, I was a painter doing highly realistic urban landscapes- scenes of Chicago, New York, Miami Beach, etc. My focus on urban architecture has helped me greatly with my furniture designs. Art Deco, Asian, and mid-century design aesthetics can be found in much of my work.
My wife and I live in Lisle, a western suburb of Chicago, although we're in the process of trying to relocate to the Seattle area. We have to sell our house first, though, and that's proving to be difficult in today's market.
Our 2 grown children live in Chicago and generally think we're nuts to want to move.
If anyone wants a totally remodeld house with a great 800 s/f shop attatched to it, let me know.

Welcome to Lumberjocks!! And I say a huge WOW to the work I saw on your website. These are exactly the kind of pieces that my wife and I love, and lust after. Our dreams are big, and the checkbook is slim. And these are the kind of pieces I can only dream of trying to make. Thank you for showing that this kind of quality can be done.

I don’t know about your paintings but you have truely found your calling consider submiting a portfollio of your work to motion picture studios i lived in florida for a while and MGM was looking for woodworkers and carpenters i never had a response but i think you’ve got a good shot, your eye for design is truely to be respected!!!!!!!!!!!!
