My name is Al, and I am a retired engineer who worked in oil & gas for many years. The job took my wife and I many places; we retired in 2004, and started a small woodworking business.
My wife and I are the owners of Sandal Woods, a budding business making boxes, custom cabinets, armoires, entertainment centers, various types of prayer kneelers, etc.
To help me stayed focused on woodworking I started a blog 4 weeks ago (September 2007); it can be viewed at
