A couple of questions for a project gone wrong using Mahogany - 4 replies

All, I had a problem today while using some Mahogany I had glued up trying to make a handle for a drawbore pin. I was planing the wood down to size and noticed that there was white stuff in the wood grain as I planed, I had not planed this wood before, so I don’t know if this is normal or not? Any thoughts?
