Geez Louiz, I’ve been railroaded. Not really, I’ve found out I have a lot of friends and support and it gives me, well it makes me feel kinda mushy. Anyway, with their support I’ve decided to jump in the fray and give this table a try. Like I said before the worse that could happen is my wife would end up with my version of a green and green table. I do have a turninig to finish on the lathe today and post that, then I guess its down to the nitty gritty of planing and jointing some rough lumber. I think I’m going to try Obi’s method of making mortises with my new 3hp O’malleys router. But that ’s going to mean maiking a jig. Probably still be faster than setting up my mortising attachment to my drillpress. And I just read an article this morning on using your router table to joint your boards, which looked easier than using my jointer, I’ll try the jointer first, but I’m cutting these 14 ft. boards in half, to make them easier to work with. Well Keep those shops clean, dont breath spalted wood dust and thanks for all your support guys and gal. Jockmike

Hey Mike,
I think I’m going to try using Obi’s jig for routing mortises as well. Let me know how it goes for you. Where did you see the article about jointing with a router?
