HI FOLKS, WANTED TO TELL YOU ABOUT A SPECIAL CHRISTMAS PRESENT I MADE FOR A SPECIAL FRIEND THAT SURVIVED A HORRENDOUS ACCIDENT THAT LEFT HER WITH A SPINAL INJURY THAT LEFT HER IN A WHEEL CHAIR, AND WITHOUT FULL USE OF HER HANDS. SHE WAS IN A ROLLOVER ACCIDENT, THAT LEFT HER TRAPPED FOR OVER 12 HOURS BEFORE SOMEONE FOUND HER. SHE IS AN AMAZING PERSON, THAT HAS ALWAYS BEEN A HARD WORKER AND FULL OF LIFE AND ENERGY. I KNOW BEING TRAPPED IN THAT CHAIR IS AGONIZING FOR HER. SHE HAD COMMENTED ON MY HOBBY PAGE ON FACEBOOK AND ASKED IF I SOLD MY PIECES. I TOLD HER NO, I JUST GAVE THEM TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS, THEN I REALIZED, SHE WAS A LIFELONG FRIEND AND A NEIGHBOR GROWING UP. I ASKED IF SHE WOULD LIKE A BOWL AND SHE SAID SHE WOULD TREASURE ONE. SO I THREW A PIECE OF WALNUT (her favorite wood) on the lathe and made her one. I TOOK HER PICTURE WHEN I PRESENTED THE BOWL TO HER, AND COULD SEE A BEAUTIFUL, FLASHING SMILE THAT I REMEMBERED SEEING SO OFTEN, BEFORE HER ACCIDENT.

Mike…You’re the MAN!!

What a nice thing to do.

This alone should get you into heaven, not counting all your other good attributes.

That is a beautiful bowl.
