I just bought the February issue of Western Horseman and guess who’s picture was on page 51? Our old saddle Pal Thos. Angle. Riding shotgun over, not only a herd of cattle, but a herd of greenhorns according to the story. I think having to take care of cows and greenhorns has gotten to Thos. as he told me he is retiring to JV with Carleen. He said he’s tired of the heap of horse “nure” being spread on that big ranch and riding herd over the greenhorns and fake cowboys. I for one can’t wait to get him back and hear some of great stories he is so great at telling. Thos. You know we miss you buddy. Hope I didn’t let the cat out of the bag.Photobucket That’s Thos. on the right. Looks like an old cowboy don’t he?

Thanks for sharing.

I had dinner with Thos. the other night as he was passing through Billings. I had a great time listening to his stories.

I have to tell you that he is the genuine article when it comes to cowboys. Genuine!

Mike, He is an old cowboy. But he’s also one heck of a quality individual.

I wish I would have blown that picture up bigger, even then you don’t see his face real well. But you are all right he is one heck of a guy. I’ve missed him. You’re welcome Dick, it was good news, it sounded like he’s had it with the rat race, he said the outfit he was working for started taking on Dudes, but leaving cowhands and bosses like Thos to watch out for them plus have to do their jobs, that would be too much for anyone, the article talked about Thos chasing after a newbie who had lost some cows, but as he went after him the guy starts coming back with the bunch of cows he lost, that’s the kind of time he had to waste. Sounded bothersome.

Hi Mike,

I have to agree, Tom and Carleen are good people. It will be good to hear what they’ve been up to.
