Hip, Hip, Hoorayyy! I’ve been a Lumberjock 3 + years today. Gosh, where has time gone. I got to tell you all this, I can’t think of one person on this site I dislike. This is the GREATEST BUNCH OF PEOPLE I’VE EVER BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH. I mean that from the bottom of my heart. You all are the greatest. I feel like I’m apart of a huge family and I already have 7 brothers and sisters. I don’t want to single out any certain people, but you know who you are, you have been extra kind and helpful to me and I feel like you really are fathers, brothers, and sisters to me and I love you all dearly. God Bless you All. Mike

Mike, I can truly say this place would not be the same without you. You are an inspiration and a role model for the rest of us. Happy anniversary.

Congratulations Mike. We wish you many more years on the site and many more days of making sawdust. Hope you all have a great time at your gettogether up there in Michigan. We had a great time yesterday down here in N Carolina.

My sincere and warm congratulations on your LJ milestone.
I don’t read all the LJ posts, but I never fail to look for and read your knowledgeable and honest submissions.

I don’t know how it escaped my notice but I see you’re an “LJ Donor.”
I had not heard of LJ Donors before seeing it under your signature photo.
You have now inspired me to also donate.

It was a long time ago, still… Thank You For Your Service, Sir.

Wishing you and your family all the best.

wow…so we are all sibblings!!! Mike…you are a great person…which is partly why this is a good place to be…for those of us who have stuck around its nice to see what a great family we have become…

I know you would agree——it aint the woodworking that keeps us coming back…it is the friendship…even if it was the wood working that got us here…

Congrats my friend…I am still a few months away…

Hi Mike;

Congratulations. I think Matt, (napaman), said it well!

Funny how even on the internet, you get attached to people, and consider them family.

Here’s to many more.

Frank, I think of you, not only as a friend, but a mentor. You, as my father did, gave me a new and lasting appreciation of the world around me. He is the one that got me to love the outdoors and appreciate the critters and wood, lakes and rivers that surrounded me as I grew and hunted in a land that has changed so much from what it was. You remind me a lot of my father. He was rugged, straight, and at ease in the outdoors. Much like I am now. I could easily live in the wild. I know how to care for game. I worked as a butcher for 3-4years and could could easily take care of my family and myself in the wild, and love it. You my friend are a dying breed. A breed of men that was part of a time of long ago. I thank you for the compliment and hello. I’m a bigger fan of yours than you will ever know. With love and respect and much friendship Frank, thank you. Mike

Mike….just had to comment on what you said above; ”You my friend are a dying breed. A breed of men that were part of a time of long ago.

I just had to laugh at that one and truly I do know what you are saying. As I often-times tell folks….”I do in-deed believe that I was born in-to a ‘time too late’ ”.

Folks like us, truly bring a better definition to the ’character’s in//of and about wood art ’. Hmmm; sounds like the title of an-other blog story warming up in my mind….too many stories and not enough time to write them all….

GODSPEED,
Frank
