PSA - 0

I would just like to thank all my friends and well wishers and people that offered prayers for me. God Bless each and every one of you. I went to my Urologist on Wednesday and they drew blood and urine samples of course, and I just got a phone call about an hour ago that my PSA test came back negative. Meaning I am cancer free. Thank God and the help of every soul that prayed for me in any small way I owe you all a debt of gratitude and humility. This was cancer left over after I had surgery done on my prostate. It seems by the time they got around to working on me it had spread into the walls of my prostate and I’ve had to go through two series of Hormone injections which really do a number on your personality and body. They explained it to me as a women going through her change of life. I believe it. I remember my wife. God, talk about something evil. Anyway I still have another series of shots to go through in starting in November. I’m a man, I think, I can take it. Once again thank you and may God Bless You All. Love Mike

Hi Mike,
I am so happy for you and understand how relieved you must feel.
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer 2 years ago and had to have my prostate removed – my PSA at that time was 54. During the surgery they took 6 nodes and found that 2 were infected, so since then I have been on hormone treatment – I have a capsule in my arm and take 6 Flutamite each day. My PSA for the last two tests has been down to 0.2 and I am hoping it is down further in October when my next test is due. I can understand about the side effects to the medications as I have the same problems and that is why I had to retire. I took up woodworking as something to keep me alive even though I had absoluetely no skill or experience, but I believe it is the best thing I have ever done and especially joining LJs where not only is there a wealth of knowledge but a whole lot of loving and caring people who reach out to you in the not so good times.
So, so happy for you.
Regards, Roger

Thanks everyone, I am so pleased to have so many people that care enough to say a simple prayer for someone they don’t even know. Like I said, God Bless you all. Mike

WONDERFUL News! I’ve been thinking of you and your lovely family. I hope all stays healthy and well for all of you.

So, now you know how PMS and the Big “M” are. If more men had to go through that, they wouldn’t joke about it so lightly. There is a natural herb one can take for the mood swings. Angerlica root. It comes in capsuled powder form or tablets. It’s very subtle when it works, it just works and the person feels normal again. (Guys & gals, I recommend making sure there’s some in the house if you live with someone who has those mood swings.)
