LJs, I would like to give you an information about a speilal events in our village.

60 km (40 miles) westward from Prague
60 km zapadne od Prahy

there is a small village Luzna.
je mala obec Luzna.

There is an old church there. The church is quite rarely used for church purposes.
Je tam stary kostel, ktery se zridka vyuziva pro nabozenske ucely.

In may it was convertet into an art gallery for 3 days.
V kvetnu byl na 3 dny pemenen v umeleckou galerii.

Works of local artist were on display.
Vystavovala se dila mistnich umelcu.

Mr Zoubek (director of nearest gallery) opened the exhibition.
P. Zoubek (reditel nejblizsi galerie) zahajil vystavu.

Mrs Karolova and her daughter played strings and sang.
Pani Kalovova s dcerou hraly na kyraru a housle a zpivaly.

Painters, photographers,
Maliri, fotografove,

ceramists
keramici

and carvers took place. Mr Cesal’s miniatures.

We collected some money, which we want tu use for maintenance of the church.
Ziskali jsme trochu penez, ktere chceme pouzit na opravy kostela.

My New Photostudio

This photostudio is based on a piece of common paper 3 m long and 1,2 m wide and a camera on a tripod.

The shape should be rounded

Wood between legs is removed

Chiseling of eyes etc.

A little of sanding

and staining

The bord will be equiped with an inscription acording to demand of future owner.

I was asked how do I do it.
This is my answer.

Be very careful extrem danger of kickback!!!

My first blog

This is a wooden mold for gingerbread. It used to be in many cottages in our cantry. This one belonged to my great-grandmother and could be some hundret of years old. This was one of my very first carvings about three
years ago. Now I made this carving again and hope it is a little better than the first one.
It is realy very easy and I would like to invite you to follow.

Stuff preparation.

You need only one chisel and one knife. And you carve layer by layer. (I need a little more than an hour.)

...and so on, and so on…

An arch, a hole and a little of sanding.

Do not exagerate the sanding. It´s an antiquity (copy). Today I would like to finish the sanding, make a coat by soneflower oil and send it as project. Simplicity of itself, isn´t it?
