Hello. I am new here and was looking for a bit of advise. I inherited some of my grandfathers tools years ago and in them are box 1 and box 2 of a Stanley 45 plane. Both boxes are complete and in the original wooden boxes. Any idea of their value and a good source to sell them. I am not a fan of eBay. I would have posted pictures but haven’t figured that out yet. Thanks!

Mos is a member here on lj’s, contact him (or he’ll see this soon enough). You’ve got a fine resouce for someone needing cutters for their 45 ‘type’. Good luck!

Don’t quit your day job yet, these cutters do have some value, but not enough to retire on, or buy the new pickup.
This is your first and only post to this site, ... and if you are selling your grandfathers tools, you are not a woodworker.
So letting them find a loving and caring home is a fine step.

Well, actually I am a woodworker and I have been for over 30 years. I do use Many of my grandfathers tools. I don’t have a 45 plane and am not looking to get one so I have no need for these. I’m not sure what this being my first post really has to do with anything. I have been using this site for sometime and was just looking for some Friendly advise.

Have your say...
