The idea for this scroll saw box came from an article in one of the woodworking magazines 10 or 15 years ago that I did not have time to do back then. This one was done out of a piece of 8/4 poplar. Finish is a natural spray on poly with flocking on the interior. Was a fun project.

I made this box for my wife from an article I found in a june 98 copy of Wood Magazine. It is walnut with maple and an unknown wood I inherited somewhere along the way in the inlay and the rest of the box is walnut. The trick was to make a jig to cut the diamond pieces exactly the same size. The rest was straight forward woodworking. Finish is danish oil and wax.
