I’m building a fold out tool cabinet from Wood Magazine I thought it would be fun to record a video of the assembly process.

It took me 3 dry fits and adjustments until I got everything ready to glue up. The glue up itself took 15 minutes the video is timelapsed/fastforwarded so it’s only about a minute long.

Any questions, comments or suggestions are always welcome.

I suppose the fast-forwarding doesn’t allow this to be shown, but do you measure for square before or after you clamp it up at the end?

Checking for square? what madness is this! The cabinet is square because I will it to be so!

In all seriousness, I use an incra square and check the corners it’s hard to tell in the fast forward video, but I did it twice, once before I added the second set of clamps and again before tightening everything down.

LOL!

“Checking for square?...what madness is this! The cabinet is square because I will it to be so!” That is a classic line, I think it should go in the LJ’s hall of fame for woodworking quotes! I think I am going to carve this on a plank and mount it over my bench!

Thank youm Jeremy, for a great laugh! I really needed that!

Can I use this for my tag line!?
