Morris Chair and Gustav Stickley #1: The Gustav Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms

The Gustav Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms held an open house weekend to celebrate its twenty fifth anniversary. Originally built in 1911, the Stickley home was first open to the public in 1990 with the help of The Craftsman Farms Foundation. The thirty acre Nation Landmark was the only home that Gustav built for himself and his family to live in. Two cottages were built to house his family as the log home was constructed. The home was intended to be used as a boy’s school but those plans failed and Gustav and his family moved into the house in October of 1911 and lived there until 1915.You may be asking yourself why am I writing about The Stickley Museum by now.
