The New York Times has just posted about something woodworkers have been onto for years! Recycling or refitting material for different purposes, be it furniture or cabinets. Click here for the article.

you are right naomi
it’s been like this my whole carrier (46 years)
boss : “the plumbers , electricians , air conditioning ,
and roofing guys won’t be here till they get some
parts shipped from the factory’s”
carpenters and woodworkers : “we need
to get more wood to finish these projects”
boss : “why don’t you use those shipping pallets ,
make them work , i don’t want you guys leaving .
tear down that shed , and use that wood”

Interesting article and as you say, many of us have been recyling wood for years. If not for aesthetic value then definately for cost effectiveness. :)

I have been wanting to do a container home for a long time, I love the idea, one day. Love to reuse stuff!
