Here is a great video from the Museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam. Sorry i couldn’t embed the video—the code is giving me problems. Enjoy!

Naomi,

That was an interesting video. The chairs have a very simple, yet classic form that look, to the naked eye, to be very comfortable.

Fantastic video and associated links. Lots more to be discovered at the Art Tube. Thanks.

Perhaps we should add a little one warning. Naked Woman in Video. But I’m sure noone else saw that but me. Still, very informative.

Haha—i was wondering if Bruce’s comment about ‘the naked eye’ was perhaps a reference to the naked woman in the film—which i am kind of puzzled by…
Max—i totally agree reg Art Tube—there’s a lot of cool stuff there…

Naomi,,, Of course it was… LOL… By the way, I think the use of the ‘model’ was to emphasize the shape of the seat… not her’s the chairs.

I had always associated Thonet with the bentwood rocker, never with mass production. Interesting.
