I am a Computer Systems Engineer, worked in the oil field as a Field Engineer in South America then moved to europe and worked there designing Industrial Computer Systems Hardware and now do mostly consulting to Telecom companies, as a result I have done and continue to do quite a bit of traveling.
My love of the wood and woodworking was sparked when I was a teenager in middle/high school I was lucky enough to take a class in woodworking.
I love the smell and the feel of real wood, I totally despise any of the engineered materials that are used nowdays to make furniture. The only one I will sort of accept is the Plywood for the obvious reasons that we all know, stability and cost yet a close facsimile of real wood. But you will never catch me using MDF or particle board except to be used for a jig.
I have finally been able to invest on some machinery to be put to good use in my upcoming projects.
I am also very glad I found this website, it is very inspirational, thanks to the webmaster and to all who participate.
Jerry, the z stands for the beginning of my last name
