I saw a post on FaceBook about not receiving good returns from craft shows, and ETSY, in the current economy. The last show I attended, as a vendor, was last fall. In my opinion I did very well.
I thought I would post an open question about in the current market.
My wife and I do shows all the time. We believe we're doing pretty good. It all really comes down though how much you think you should be making compared to what you do make. If you think you can charge a large amount for just your time you run the risk of not making a sale. My self if I can cover cost of materials and patterns and finishes and make a little more I'm happy. I do it for the love of doing it not to make money.
